Show 679 - Ramones Forever and Ever

Air Date:

Tuesday, 07 April 2015

Hey baby, Little Steven here with our weekly Underground Garage pop quiz. Who was the most influential band of the last 30 years?

Ultimate Spinach?...No.

Modern Folk Quartet?...Good guess, but no.

Gene Autry and the Singing Cowboys perhaps?...Wrong again!

It’s the Ramones baby, and we are celebrating them all night long.

Everybody who influenced them, everybody they covered, and everybody who covered them.

Joining us will be Eddie Cochran, Jan & Dean, the Rolling Stones, U2, the Troggs, and Manic Hispanic.

Come find out what Nedra, Estelle, and Veronica have in common with Paul Ramone, Freddie Cannon, the Edge, and Tim Conway.

It’s all happening right here in the coolest Rock n’ Roll dance party on the radio, like ever.

I’ll see you this weekend in the Underground Garage.

Great show !!! Even though it's an updated repeat, it ranks among the best like the Girls of Summer and the Real Big Bang shows...

And the new Michael des Barres song... Effin' cool... And to think that he was married to Pamela... The first issue of Playboy I ever bought was the March 1989 issue because of the Latoya Jackson pictorial, but I ended up looking more at the Pamela des Barres one (that she had done after the release of her "I'm with the Band" book)... Oh, and the Playmate Laurie Wood was quite cute too...

      And Steven,

Be nice about Siouxsie and the Banshees... "Tinderbox" was one of my favorite albums when I was a teenager...

This morning, on my way to work (Hi, Paul !), I saw a construction road sign that had a small sticker of Jake Clemons' head over the head of the construction worker on the sign... Will try to take a picture of it...
