Dear Administrator! It's great to see the show up on line-but there's no playlist! I guess that means that we're really going to separate the men from the boys-or separate the Real Underground Garage Members from the Phonies or is that the Phonys? Please fix unless this is the new policy-No Playlist-that is. Thank You very much! Sincerely, SMRZ!!

  • Robert P Smarse Jr.

Thanks again, Little Steven, for another 5 star show that celebrated both Election Time-The Day Of The Politician, as well as The Revenge Of The Candy-Halloween-Pt. 2. Between the 2, I think that The Day Of The Politician Is FAR MORE SCARY! You never can trust those Monsters From Washington, D.C.-especially our lousy self-serving Congress who only care about Their interests & don't care about the people that elected them. I'll have a go at my review of my musical highlights on Friday, 11-16-12. I hope my fans can wait. At least you guys will have something to look forward to. Thanks, Stevie! Excellent Show! EEYAHH! SMRZ!!

Thank You Administrator! I'm glad to see the playlist! I knew you'd come through. Also thank you for keeping us up to speed. GOOD WORK! SINCERELY, SMRZ!!!

Yea, he or she even included the musical beds on this one, EXCELENT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Robert P Smarse Jr.

OK-Now! Let's see! Show # 533. Halloween Pt. 2 Revenge Of The Candy! Time to go & see your DENTIST! Oh-NO! THE HORROR! THE PAIN! THE BILLS!! And if that ain't enuff to scare you to death, it's also THE DAY OF THE POLITICIAN!! GOD & BUDDAH-PLEASE HELP ME! Thank You once again, Little Steven, for yet another 5 STAR Saturday night full of great tunes, as well as your continued schoolin' about Halloween! I must admit-you did scare the crap out of me when you started the 1st set with your ELECTION DAY introduction. Yes-I have watched 5 seasons of TRUE BLOOD on HBO & I am proud to say that I watched every episode at least twice. I wonder when they will be coming to take me AWAY! I'll tell you what tho-I've watched the 1st 5 episodes of American Horror Story:Asylum this year & have been totally freaked out-big time-by that whack-fest on FX on Wednesday nights. But I digress. Time to get to the excellent tunes. Set 1 highlights. Great to hear I Want Candy by BOW WOW WOW, who do a fine version of the Strangeloves tune. Always nice to hear The Chesterfield Kings with Running Through My Nightmares. Bruce contributed with Restless Nights & yes they are now that each night is getting longer. Always a treat to hear the vastly underrated Creation with Nightmare. And closing the set out with a nice sound byte from Mr. Eddie Phillips who was one of the founding members of Creation who were the BEST band from England that NEVER came to The USA & were also never played here until at least the 80's on the radio. Set 2. Dedicated to The Tuts, all the way to Egypt. And as you said, Stevie, they were very surprised to uncover the ONLY undisturbed tomb from way back in 1324 B.C. when they dug it up on Nov. 4, 1922. Yes The great KING TUT! Rather ironic that they figured he died from head trauma with the chief suspect being his own WIFE! WHO ELSE! I guess that it actually makes perfect sense. Opening the set with King Tut by Steve Martin from 1978. Following with Wrap It Up by Sam & Dave. The very cool Bangles with Walk Like An Egyptian which we used to call Walk With An Erection! Remember that one-boys & girls? Moving along to Little Red Riding Hood by Sam The Sham & The Pharoahs & finishing off the perfect set with The Hives & Abra Cadaver. You see people, I've got this whole thing covered. I consider myself a Christian-Buddist, if there is such a thing. Because I also believe in Reincarnation-just in case. Stevie-you yourself alluded to this back in 1999 with your very cool release Born Again Savage which is blasting out of my speakers right now! Set 3. The Blood-sucking set. Great tale of how both Dracula & Frankenstein were brought to life by the minds of Mary Shelley & Dr. John Polidori, during a Hallucinogenic-inspired night back in 1816, at a villa in Switzerland. The whole tale inspired the 1986 film "GOTHIC", which was directed by the rather eccentric Ken Russell. I have the videotape & transfered it to dvd. Pretty far-out stuff! Moving further along to Bram Stoker's Dracula & also to Vlad The Impaler, who greeted the invading armys with over 20,000 Turkish visitors IMPALED on stakes! EEYAHH!! Musically, opening the blood-sucking set with I had Too Much To Dream by The Electric Prunes which was followed by Lies Of The Living Dead by the Minus 5, which, as you said , Stevie can ONLY be found on HALLOWEEN A GO-Go! Can't wait for Pt. 2, Stevie! The great Roky Erickson & The Aliens with Creature With The Atom Brain from his excellent 1980 LP. The rare b-side Child Of The Moon by The Rolling Stones. Closing out the great blood-sucking set with the very cool Tegan And Sara with Walking With A Ghost. Set 4. The Ramones go Howling At The Moon from their 1984 LP Too Tough To Die. Moving way back to 1958 with Billy Lee Riley with Flying Saucers Rock N' Roll. The Pretty Things with Walking Through My Dreams At Night & finishing off another excellent set with the late great Bobby "BORIS" Pickett & The Crypt-Kickers with The Monster Mash from way back in 1962. I think that he's dead. Anyway what would Halloween be without Monster Mash? Set 5. Feed My Frankenstein by Alice Cooper. Hell Hole from Spinal Tap followed by Night In My Veins by The Pretenders. The very cool Mystic Eyes by Them with lead vocals by Van Morrison. And finishing off the set & the great show with Donovan & The Season Of The Witch. "Yea-it's Strange-So Strange" So glad to have 2 Halloween shows this year because it's been so long-exactly since 11-01-09 with show # 396 since we've had The Revenge Of The Candy. Yes-& we all know how important HALLOWEEN is to the REAL members of The Underground Garage! Before I sign off, I would like to wish you, Little Steven, a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY # 62, which comes on November 22, which is also THANKSGIVING this year. That makes it very appropriate to give THANKS to YOU, Stevie! My life would be so very empty without you & The Underground Garage. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH-for keeping the music ALIVE! IT'S ALIVE! Until next week- when we may be getting a visit from the Greatest American Film director-Mr. Martin Scorsese! YEAH-BABY! To all who live IN and FOR The Underground Garage-Peace Be With You! And Have A very Happy THANKSGIVING! Don't Take Nothin' For Granted!! EEYAHH! SMRZ!!!

    • greggie434

Another GREAT review by SMRZ!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the heads up on the film Gothic by Mr Ken Russell! Now that you said American Horror Story is good, I will start to watch them, I have the 1st 5 on the DVR and I'll see if I like it....

      • Robert P Smarse Jr.

Hello greggie434! I hope that you are well. Anyway re: AHS:Asylum is a Total Creepfest! I really can't watch it anymore. Might have something to do with the fact that I worked at a State Hospital/School in western Mass. for over 22 years. During my 1st 4 years there, the conditions were totally Bonkers & the show gives me flashbacks to some crazy stuff that went down there. Certainly not as bad as Briarcliff in AHS:Asylum but still. Kinda weird also that they mention Briarcliff as being in Western Mass. Take care, Brosky!

        • greggie434

That must have been a tough place to work at. All is well here.

  • jcjohnson63

had a bit of trouble with this one crashing but all in all this another very cool one!!! still waiting on revenge of the candy cd!!! or download!!!!

  • Ron Lynch

I Am A Demon and I Love Rock N’ Roll (Sweatmaster), cool song & Bruce's Restless Nights (Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band) is a timeless song, goes in any decade.
Monster Mash (Bobby ‘Boris’ Pickett) liked it as a kid and do now. Mystic Eyes (Them) wicked song and also Season Of The Witch (Donovan).
    Thanks Stevie, keep rockin.

  • DavidWhite

Show 545, which we were told would be on this site WEEKS ago (months now, actually) is still not available. Oh well....

    • Robert P Smarse Jr.

Yes-I think that Victory Motorcycles somehow blocked it from the Archives. Rather ironic seeing that the show's titlt/theme was Motorcycle Nightmare OR was that MOTORPSYCHO NIGHTMARE? EEYAHH! SMRZ!!!

      • greggie434

I hope they release it soon!

        • DavidWhite

I fear it has joined Show 443 (and a bunch of much older shows) as permanently "coming soon" but never arriving.

  • rivardm

Where are shows from Nov. 12 & 19?

    • greggie434

  • Robert P Smarse Jr.

Dear Administrator. You have been doing good work on keeping us up-to-date over the past few months. We thank you for your hard work. With the holidays & the disasters in the New York & New Jersey areas, the burden has been especially heavier. Hopefully, you will be able to get shows #554, 555,& 556 up at some point. Thanks, again for your good work. Sincerely, SMRZ!!!

    • greggie434

Dear Administrator part 2. Please get the shows on that R missing.......

  • michael j farrelly

Surprised that this year's Halloween celebration did not feature Springsteen's favorite, Purple People Eater.
