Show 514 - Pictures Of Lilyhammer

Air Date:

Wednesday, 08 February 2012

Hey baby, Little Steven here.

We have a special show for you this week.

We are featuring the coolest new TV show in the world; my new show Lilyhammer.

Guess what? It is the first original programming from Netflix, and we are very proud of that.

Joining us will be Albert King, the Rascals, Joey Ramones, the Rolling Stones, Sam & Dave, the Beatles, Little Walter, and Bob Seger.

Brand new music from the Launderettes, Death By Unga Bunga, Bruce Springsteen has a new record, and we got Trolley too.

Come find out what Jerry Vale, the 1994 Olympics, and Cannibal & the Headhunters have in common.

It’s the only Rock n’ Roll dance party on the radio.

I’ll see you this weekend in the Underground Garage.

So I go to my old grocery store I use to go to when I was a teenager in the 70's, first time in over 30yrs and over the speakers I hear Bruce's Backstreets thought that was really cool. Nice to hear Bruce on the show and the new song from Wrecking Ball. Going to checkout the Lily Series this weekend.

    Thanks Stevie

A Truly Great Show and Congrats to you, LS, for another great Sat Nite Rock n' roll dance party!! LillyHammer EH? Bet it felt real good givin' your acting chops something to chew on. All I can say is the TV show is anywhere near the music you played we are in Heaven. Neo-Noir TV In Norway! Now ain't that a kick in the Head? Absolutely incredible 1st set with American Gangster Time-Pictures Of Lily-Born Under A Bad Sign-It' Cold Outside-Come On Up-The Beat Dropped- and 10 different versions of Norwegian Wood including the Best One, by The Beatles Naturally. Sounds like a very cool seris LS. Congrats to You, LS!! Norway!Norway!Norway? Can't get enuff of The Black Keys-Stop Stop, and Hate To See You Go by Little Walter, The Best Mouth Harp Player like EVER! Rufus Thomas wants to know Can Your Monkey Do The Dog? The Trolley from 1966 starts out with an incredible lead guirar riff and then a great tune that reminds ne of Pushing Too Hard by the Seeds & Sky Saxon.Great to hear Candypants by The Dahlmans from Oslo, Norway. Eh? A Cold Aertic Blast is due this Weekend. Maybe the cold air will kill all of the Bacteria that has spread. Thank You, once again LS. for a five-star SAT Nite.Peace Be With You. SMRZ!!!

Lilyhammer is a great show. the writing is exceptional and the best dramatic comedy I've ever watched. The soundtracks are by far the best series backdrops I can recall. Keep them coming...

Can't wait for season 2 of Lilyhammer. Being the glutton that I am, I watched the whole thing in one day. (I'll watch it all again, and probably a couple more times in the interim. Also... can't wait to see you and The rest of the band in San Jose on April 24.

  • newspace12x12

lilyhammer rocks. can't wait to see the last 4. trying to ration them out to one a day so as not to be too gluttonous. then we'll watch a second time through to pick out the nuances. then a third time through in slow motion, not really. thanks much steven, for all you add to our lives..

    Dear Little Steven,

How nice for you and all your fans that you have a new show on Netflix. Too bad I can't get Netflix. That's right, I can't buy your show for money. Because I live in Hungary. I'm not even Hungarian, that would be terrible, right? I'm American, but here is where I happen to live, so that's that, right? Netflix refuses to sell me a subscription.

Another fantastic show Lilly! Why does it take so long to get them in the Archives???? They used to be on Tues. or Wed. now they come on Fri. Sat...... On second thought, it's well worth the wait, I'll stop bitchin and "Enjoy The Art"

  • tonysee

Lilyhammer sounds like a fantastic premise! Gonna find a way to see this on Netflix. Besides that, some of these Norwegian groups sure do kick ass. Haven't stopped dancing to "Keeps on Dancing" by the Cocktail Slipperes since I heard it.

  • Katie Wais

Thumbs up: Joey Ramone, "Maria Bartiromo"

Thumbs down: Dahlmanns, "Candypants" -- dear god, Little Steven, give this song a rest already (please, please, please)

  • Caleb Chase

You really are a funny guy. Ya know, the way you talk, the stories you tell. What? You're funny.
We enjoyed Lilyhammer. Also, Bruce's vocal on We take care of our own is smooth. The song ends on a boardawalk vibe. Thanks Steve.

  • slimify

love the fact that you got to sneak in a little "my kind of town - lillyhammer is". rhythmically slightly different than singing "...chicago is" but pulled it off nicely!

I just finished watching Season 1 and was looking for info on the show's music when I found this page. I listen to Underground Garage on Sirius all the time, but never to the syndicated show. This is a great compilation of stuff.
    Can't wait for Season 2!
