Show 494 - Ready To Snap

Air Date:

Monday, 19 September 2011

Hey baby, Little Steven here.

Have you just about had it?

I mean are you just sick of everything?

Are you tired of hearing these stupid politicians talk?

Tune in this week to the Underground Garage where we don’t care about such things. We are too busy rocking and rolling and having a good time.

Joining us will be Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, the Yardbirds, Donovan, Johnny Rivers, Solomon Burke, the Chiffons, the Who, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Tommy James & the Shondells.

We got brand new music from the Smithereens, yes they are still around, Genya Ravan, yes she is still around, Eddie Phillips, yes he is still around, Spanking Charlene, a brand new group, the Launderettes are still around, and Baby Woodrose.

We are calling the show Ready To Snap, and I will see you this weekend in the world’s only Rock n’ Roll dance party on the radio, the Underground Garage.

Thanks for pointing out the mispelling of "Ravan", we corrected it.

  • Ron Lynch

Good stuff from Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes.
Have not heard Hurdy Gurdy Man for a long time, cool.
Secret Agent Man has the 60's vibe & Joan is too cool.

    Thanks Stevie.

joan jettt is one of my heroes. i am from Maryland and we claim her!!! met her twice!! she signed my electric guitar. with clear alqcuer it is there forever! loved the runaways when waiting for the night album!! they NEED TO BE IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME!!!

  • rickyrat

Ahhhh! another well done edition of LSUGG. Love you Steven.

  • rickyrat

Pete Townsend said it best,Rock and Roll is the single most important element that cuts through what happens to be happening at the time.

  • michaelfarrelly

    Happy Birthday to Joan,

Had the pleasure of seeing her live recently, awesome. The way a rock and roll should be, non-stop energy from the the first riff to the Crimson and Clover encore.

Also, her "room movin'" promo is one of the best in the Garage.
