Show 489 - Where Have All The Good Times Gone?

Air Date:

Monday, 15 August 2011

Hey baby, Little Steven here, and oh do we have a wacky show for you this week.

It’s all kinds of crazy stuff, but cool of course.

We are celebrating a bunch of birthdays, including Bobby DeNiro, David Crosby, Ring Lardner, and Jimmy Webb.

Joining us will be Muddy Waters, the Ronettes, the Rolling Stones, the Byrds, the Animals, Otis Redding, and the Stooges.

Brand new music from Butch Walker & the Black Widows, the Red Button, Steve Cropper has a new one with Steve Winwood on the track we are playing, and Moonlight Towers from Austin Texas.

Tune in to find out what Ronnie Spector, Fed “Sonic” Smith, and Richard Harris have in common.

It’s the only Rock n’ Roll dance party on the radio.

You don’t want to be anywhere else but here baby, this weekend on the coolest radio station in town. The one you are listening to right now.

I’ll see you this weekend in the Underground Garage.

Good suff my friend...what a patriot!

I am A Patriot, cool. Nice vocals on Union Street and 1969.
Now I know I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better was not Tom Petty's song, but he does a wicked job of it.
Revolution, love the distortion. The Highwayman lyrics have soul.

I try to catch your show as much as possible Steven. You're doing a great service to radio, please keep it up!!! Been listening to your show just about from when you first started it. Never heard "I am A Patriot" until this show. The song sums up alot of my feelings on certain matters in life, thanks so much for recording it! It was also good to hear the Highway Men on your show. Keep being you Steven and God bless.

I guess those country guys have an underground garage too. Not too shabby! Still a rocker but we can all get along.

I listen to Underground Garage archived shows in my home office most every night. When my wife walked by and heard "MacArthur Park" she stopped and asked, What are you listening to now??? Was a funny moment. Not sure I've ever heard anything quite like that on this show. ROCK ON PEOPLE!
