Show 442 - BILL MURRAY

Air Date:

Monday, 20 September 2010

Hey baby, Little Steven here with our Underground Garage pop quiz of the week.

What is your favorite Bill Murray movie?

Not easy, is it, but make a list of your top 10 coolest Bill Murray movies, and we will compare notes this weekend in the Underground Garage as we celebrate Bill Murray’s birthday and what we think is his 49th movie, Get Low.

Joining us to do so will be Van Morrison, the Ramones, the Stooges, Tommy James and the Shondells, the Rolling Stones, the Faces, and Mink DeVille.

Brand new music from the Wildbirds, Nick Curran and the Lowlifes, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Thee Wylde Oscars, and the Mother Truckers.

Come find out what Bunny Breckinridge, John Winger, and
Carl Spackler have in common.

It’s our tribute to Bill Murray this weekend in the world’s only Rock n’ Roll dance party on the radio. I’ll see you in the Underground Garage.

Nobody's left a comment on the Bill Murray show?! Blasphemy!

Now someone has left a comment and I feel (slightly) better.

Indeed a very cool and fun show, to be sure. My favorite movie of Bill's would be Caddyshack and the character of Carl Spackler is the best character ever played by Bill on film. I also would like to nominate Rushmore as the best soundtrack of any Bill Murray film. You can't beat The Creation, The Faces, and Cat Stevens all in one great movie!! CARL!!!

There seems to be a problem with the jukebox of set three... During the intro, it skips to the next set...
