Show 409 - Y NOT RINGO?

Air Date:

Monday, 01 February 2010

Hey baby, Little Steven here with our Underground Garage pop quiz of the week.

Who is the coolest drummer like ever?

Buddy Rich? Good guess…

Keith Moon? Close…

Maynard G. Krebs? Yes, but only on bongos…

Of course it’s Ringo Starr, and he has a new album out, called Y Not?, and we have an exclusive interview with him this week in the Underground Garage.

Joining us this week to celebrate Ringo will be the Byrds, the Isley Brothers, the Clash, the Lords Of The New Church, and the Monkees.

Cool new stuff from the Len Price 3, the Dollyrots, Prima Donna, and the Verbs.

Come find out what Del Shannon, Joss Stones, and Rory Storm and the Hurricanes have in common.

It’s our bi-annual celebration of Ringo’s new album, and All-Starr Review tour thing this weekend in the Underground Garage.
