Show 826 - Diet of Worms

Air Date:

Wednesday, 31 January 2018

Where you at baby?
Bored? Jaded? Confused by the world?
Well I got the answer for you.
Turn off the TV, leave the newspaper in the driveway, and join us in the Underground Garage.
We are partying with the Ramones, the Animals, the Small Faces, and the Electric Flag.
Find out what Graham Parker, Paul Butterfield, and Marianne Faithful have in common.
It is a little bit of clarity in a otherwise confusing world this weekend in the Underground Garage.

The BRMC did a show at the Club Soda last night in Montréal and I missed it... Dang...

Hi Steed....happy New Year. I’ve heard of Club Soda as a good place to see jazz.. not sure it’s same one but sounds like a cool venue. Did your coolest new song have an ocean wave in it ( or techie water sounds?)

      • Steed Colliss

Salut Marlene, my sista from anotha motha ! Yes, "T-Shirt" had a sort of wave sound in it... Band from Toronto, where I was born (now many, many years ago)... Montréal is where I live... The Club Soda used to be way up on Park Avenue (Avenue du Parc) and the first show I saw there was The Pursuit of Happinessg back in 1990... It is now close to the corner of Saint-Laurent (the Main) and Sainte-Catherine, close to where the Spectrum used to be (look for that filmed concert from The Police), and the Metropolis (now called Telus ?!?)... For sure, Montréal is known for its jazz festival and venues... We have Oliver Jones, we had Leonard Cohen, Charles Biddle... We have the best bagels, smoke meat and poutine... On Feb. 24, there will be the Deuxluxes at the Soda... Sort of like a Québec version of the Cramps... Really good... And in English too !!! They could be played in the Garage... Well, my half bottle of red is starting to kick in... Better go for now... Have fun !!!
