Show 790 - Bob Dylan

Show 790 - Bob Dylan

Air Date:

Monday, 22 May 2017

Hey baby, Little Steven here.

It is Bob Dylan’s birthday this week, and helping us celebrate will be the Ramones, Gary U.S. Bonds, George Harrison, and Jimi Hendrix.

Come find out what the Turtles, Jason & the Scorchers, and Al Aronowitz have in common.

I’ll give you a hint; it has something to do with Reverend Gary Davis.

I’ll see you at the world’s only Rock n’ Roll dance party on the radio this weekend in the Underground Garage.

That IS entertainment! WOW! Thank you Little Steven for the greatest rock and roll radio show I've ever heard, just incredible.
I'm AMAZED. I've never heard of Al Aronowitz before (or did and forgot), the story of the Beatles meeting Bob was hilarious; for other new things to me, I loved The Dollyrots, Jason and The Scorchers' version of Absolutely Sweet Marie, and Forever My Baby by Dahlmanns (I was beyond happy to hear it was an Andy Shernoff production afterward, as I'm a fan of his for sure). Thank you for an amazing show.
You left out Link Wray's version of It's All Over Now, Baby Blue, but I forgive you.

*woops I mean I knew about Bob turning the Beatles onto pot, just as George's dentist was the one who turned them onto LSD, but I didn't know Ringo was the first one, and his laughing started it, and so on; also I had heard about what Paul said and then had Mal do and hearing again was too funny.
I always thought BOB was the one who heard "I get high" - now I know better about that. Thanks!
