Show 664 - Christmas A Go-Go

Air Date:

Tuesday, 23 December 2014

Hey baby, Little Steven here.

It’s our favorite time of year in the Underground Garage. It’s time for our annual Christmas A Go-Go show, featuring the Ramones, the Beatles, Darlene Love, the Ronettes, and what would Christmas be without Jan & Dean.

Tune in to find out what Joe Pesci, Soupy Sales, Tiny Tim, and Rufus Thomas have in common, and yes we are keeping tabs on Ed ‘Kookie’ Brynes too.

This weekend it’s the wildest Christmas party in town, baby.

I’ll see you in the Underground Garage.

Because the Christmas shows usually haven't been posted until after Christmas, I haven't listened to a current Christmas show in years, instead relying on two shows I recorded off the radio in 2007. Wow, so much has changed! After you listen to this show, do yourself a favor and listen to shows 298 and 299. You'll thank me later! I know Steve has to put in new music, but this year "I Wish it Could Be Christmas Ever Day" didn't even make the cut. It was played twice in 2007!

The player doesn't do anything when I try to use the "CLICK HERE TO LISTEN" button on any page - I just see "java script: void(0)" in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. It doesn't matter if I'm using the latest version of Firefox, Chrome, or IE...they all do the same thing.

This has been broken for a long time - I guess you don't care that your website doesn't work!!!

I loved your opening monologue this year about the melting pot of all religions and beliefs being all used for Christmas. What an amazing holiday history lesson. And then the Sonics wrote "Santa Claus" Ha-ha! Have a great New Year!
