Show 653 - Hats Off To Larry

Air Date:

Tuesday, 07 October 2014

Hey baby, Little Steven here.

Do you remember Mickey Mouse Club?

Come on, admit it, you know you were watching that show.

Where do you think Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake came from?

Not to mention Annette Funicello, and we are celebrating all of them this weekend in the Underground Garage, and we are designating the whole weekend as Fun With Music Day.

Joining us will be Rocket From The Crypt, the Standells, Moby Grape, the Beach Boys, the Rolling Stones, and the Who.

Come find out what Britney Spears, Sonny Boy Williamson, Larry Fine, Soupy Sales, and Eddie Cochran have in common.

It’s the only Rock n’ Roll dance party on the radio. Come join us for Fun With Music Day this weekend in the Underground Garage.

Hello, greetings from West street Finland! Nice to be the first one to submit a comment. Did you know, that in Finland Donald Duck is much more popular than Mickey Mouse, who´s too arrogant and irritating for our taste. Born to loose, you know...And check out Nils Lofgren´s Two by two, best acoustic guitarsolo ever!

Steed, I have shows going back to May 5TH, 2002, on Cassette tape, the 1ST shows were edited by me, God knows why I did this, then I woke up and realized why in the HELL am I editing these shows. So then I started to tape the whole show, comercials and all from the radio . Then after about 50 shows or so, I started to put them on C D'S. I can't wait to hear shows 1 through 5, guess I have shows from # 5 to 653 recorded!!!!

Great show. Haven't heard Eddie Cochran in a long long time and what else can you say about Sonny Boy Williamson's One Way Out.
