Hey baby, Little Steven here.
A whole lot happened this week in history, and we are going to celebrate all of it this weekend in the Underground Garage.
We are going to be talking about Bob Dylan going electric and changing the whole world, and we are going to the movies to celebrate a very cool flick, which you may have missed.
Joining us will be the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, the Dead Boys, Otis Redding, and the Bee Gees when they were a rock band.
Join us for the only Rock n’ Roll dance party on the radio.
I’ll see you this weekend in the Underground Garage.

Otis, The Dead Boys, The Runaways, Roger Daltrey and Wilco Johnson, and the Man, Bob Dylan, where ya gonna get all this, why of course, "The Underground Garage" my friends!!!!
Kim Fowley produced "Alley Oop"? My dad said he met someone who told him that he and a bunch of people were drunk in a studio, some sober guy surreptitiously pressed "record," and the result was "Alley Oop." The way my dad described this, he was eating up every word. I have found no proof of this, and you would think word would get around, but that's my dad for you. He also believed his second wife when she said she grew up with Mark Hamil.
I love how this show has a three and a half minute song limit. ;) I guess rules are made to be broken, and you have to be as good as Bob Dylan or Jimmy Webb to get away with it.
Bruce and Steven said it perfectly, "We Learned More From A Three Minute Record Than We Ever Did In School"!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is the player for this show broken? It says "Website cannot be found"
I can't seem to get the player to work. I was up to the second song of Set Four, and I signed out to come back at a later time. Now I can't listen.
thanks for the classic update! empty hearts are COOL!!!! :)
The player worked today, so I was able to finish the episode. I loved the Empty Hearts track very much. Ten and-a-half years later, and still listening!
Just got back from Dublin/ Wicklow/ Galway. It was a proud day for me and my wife to give my daughter away at The Tinakilly House for the wedding. Also my other daughter sang and gave a wicked piano version of Bob's Make you Feel my Love. Those two moments can bring a man to tears. The people of Ireland make you feel at home.
5 cool one to follow.
5 cool ones here. Maggie’s Farm (Bob Dylan), Like A Rolling Stone (Bob Dylan), Devil You Know (Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger) this one is getting cooler the more I hear it. 90 Miles An Hour Down A Dead End Street (Empty Hearts) & Privilege (Set Me Free) (Patti Smith Group).
Thanks Stevie, Keep on Rockin.
Great show. The Runaways really should be in the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame because what they did for "girl" rock was beyond measure.
The first time is always the first time, Boys!
