Julius Henry Marx! "I don't Like Burger King-I Don't Like anything"! Let's See Now. Show # 548. Happy 122nd Birthday, Groucho Marx! The King Of The Cynics! Thank You once again, Little Steven, for another 5 star Saturday Night that was so good that I had to play it over on Sunday Night! Set 1. Why Not start off with The Marx Brothers Of Punk-The Ramones with I'm Against It. Followed by Vanda-Young's Easybeats with the hardly ever played Good Times. Continuing with Graham Parker & The Rumour's Pourin' It All Out from their great LP Heat Treatment. Moving along with cool new stuff by Free Energy & Electric Fever, followed by School Days-Chuck Berry, & closing out the perfect set with Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood by The Animals. Great sound bytes & commentary by you, Stevie, with "In The Final Analysis, Life Is Overated". You could also say that "Life Is Too Important To Be Taken Seriously" as Oscar Wilde said. But back to Groucho. "You Must Have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle" & "If I hold you any closer, I'd be in back of you". Set 2. She Don't Care About Time by The Byrds & produced by Doris Day's son Terry Melcher, who Charles Manson would still like to spend some time with. Let Her Dance by The Bobby Fuller Four who would not play along with the mob & payed the ultimate price back in 1966. Excellent new stuff by the very talented Palmyra Delran who also produced You're My Brian Jones, whose melody I've had stuck in my head over the past week. Closing the cynical set with The Rolling Stones & Congradulations. Set 3 . A Well Respected Man by The Kinks, Shakin' Street by The MC5, Oh My Lover by The Chiffons, & closing the set with The Who & Circles from their excellent 1st LP. Set 4. That's Why God Made The Radio by The Beach Boys which sounds like Sail On Sailor from their LP Holland, Good Thing by Paul Revere & The Raiders, cool new stuff with Suzy Chunk & Groovy Uncle-Look Back & Laugh, & closing the set out with Pretty Little Angel Eyes by Curtis Lee way back in 1961 as Doo Wop manages to hang on. Excellent Set 5 dedicated to Freak Of The Week- Memphis D.J. Dewey Phillips, who, I must say even makes YOU sound tame, Stevie. Red ,Hot, & Blue! Boy, I wish we had a D.J. like that when I was growing up. Kicking off the Rockabilly with Baby Let's Play House by Elvis, followed by Johnny Rivers with The Seventh Son, Jeff Beck & The Yardbirds with Rack My Mind, & closing off the cool-daddy-cool set with Jerry Lee Lewis & Wild One. GO-DADDY-GO! End of another great show & yearly tribute to Groucho Marx. Duck Soup(1933), I agree, will get you very high without the use of any chemicals! Yeah-Baby! Thanks again, Stevie, for another great show! And to borrow a phrase from Groucho, "Hello I Must Be Going". Peace Be With You All who live IN & FOR The Underground Garage! Next week maybe I'll see you all in San Francisco-Maybe with some flowers, too! EEYAHH!! SMRZ!!!
