Hey baby, Little Steven here with our Underground Garage pop quiz of the week.
What was the most important moment in the history of Rock n’ Roll?
Elvis Presley on Ed Sullivan?
Willie Kizart’s amplifier falling off the roof of the car before the Rocket 88 session?
We say its February 9, 1964, and we are calling it the Big Bang.
Joining us will be the Swingin’ Blue Jeans. The Bee Gees, Buddy Holly & the Crickets, Badfinger, the Rolling Stones, and the Marvelettes.
Brand new music from Nils Lofgren, the Launderettes, the Black Keys, Trolley, Bruce Springsteen, the Boo, the Cocktail Slippers, and a new one from Ringo.
Tune in and find out what Fats Domino, Tony Sheridan, and Martin Lewis have in common.
It is the Big Bang of Rock n’ Roll, baby, without which we would all be sopranos.
I’ll see you this weekend in the Underground Garage.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Oh whatever what we would have done without The BIG BANG!? Truly Inconceiveable! We were all in a major funk after JFK and POW! We got some relief and then even more than we could have ever expected. Another 5 Star Stellar Show!! Truly excellent tunes like Please Mr. Postman, Every Little Thing, Soldier Of Love, and I'll Be Back, all by The Beatles. Great new tunes by The Trolley and The Black Keys. Badfinger and the incredible Baby Blue. Very cool anecdote about how The Beatles finally got on American radio. Thank You, little Marsha Albert!! I watched you, LS, and Bruce open The Grammys with the great We Take Care Of Our Own. I immediately turned them off after you and Bruce. I see major articles about Lilyhammer in Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, and The Boston Globe. All have been quite favorable Yet another feather in your cap, LS. Hey do you know anything about this Steven Lento guy from Winthrop, Ma.? Take care Little Steven and all others in the Underground Garage. I'll see you next week. Peace Be With You! EEYAHH!! SMRZ!!!
Way to open the Grammys!!!!! Fantastic!!!!!!!!!
Steven Lento!!! I heard he lives in Norway now! another great show thanks...
WHY NOT REMIND OUR ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC FANS THE TRUE MEANING OF ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC. LITTLE STEVEN YOU KNOW THAT I AM TELLING THE TRUTH. SO WHY NOT MAKE A SHOW IN REGARDS TO THIS TOPIC WHETHER YOU THINK IS TRUE OR NOT.
ROCK AND ROLL MUSICIANS HAVE BEEN ACCUSED OF WORSHIPPING THE DEVIL ( SATAN ).
ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC IS THE DEVIL'S MUSIC ( SATAN'S MUSIC ).
THE HALLMARK TRAIT OF ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC IS ITS DRIVING DEVILISH BEAT. ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC INVOKES EVIL SPIRITS ( DEMONS ). ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC IS THE DEVIL'S MUSIC ( SATAN'S MUSIC ).
TODAY MOST MUSIC GENRES INCLUDING RAP AND HIP HOP MUSIC HAVE THE ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC DRIVING DEVILISH BEAT IN IT.
RAP AND HIP HOP MUSIC ARE JUST OTHER FORMS OF ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC. TAKE AWAY THE ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC DRIVING DEVILISH BEAT WHICH INVOKES EVIL SPIRITS ( DEMONS ) FROM RAP AND HIP HOP MUSIC AND NOT ONE RAP/HIP HOP MUSIC ALBUM WOULD SELL.
ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC HISTORY ( HERE IS HOW ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC HAS EVOLVED ). BLUES MUSIC, R&B MUSIC, ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC, COUNTRY MUSIC, REGGAE MUSIC AND RAP/HIP HOP MUSIC.
CHUCK BERRY ( A BLACK MAN ) CREATED ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC OUT OF R&B MUSIC FOR A WHITE AUDIENCE BECAUSE R&B MUSIC WAS NOT ACCEPTED BY WHITES. ELVIS PRESLEY FOLLOWED CHUCK BERRY AND STARTED TO PLAY ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC TOO. THE BEATLES AND THE ROLLING STONES ( BRITISH INVASION ) FOLLOWED ETC.
ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC IS THE DEVIL'S MUSIC ( SATAN'S MUSIC ).
NOW YOU KNOW WHY MOST ROCK AND ROLL MUSICIANS HAVE TRAGIC DEATHS WHILE OTHERS SEEM TO LIVE FOREVER LIKE THE ROLLING STONES.
REMEMBER ANY MUSIC GENRE THAT HAS THE ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC DRIVING DEVILISH BEAT IN IT INVOKES EVIL SPIRITS ( DEMONS ).
ROCK AND ROLL IS THE DEVIL'S MUSIC ( SATAN'S MUSIC ).
ANYBODY THAT FOLLOWS THE ROCK AND ROLL LIFESTYLE HAS MADE A PACT WITH SATAN ( THE DEVIL ). YOUR SOUL BELONGS TO HIM.
NOW ENJOY ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC MY FRIENDS.
I ENJOY IT TOO.
Oh No! Not this crap again. Please refrain from repeating this crap. I thought that you were cured. Please, for the sake of all members of the Underground garage, do NOT pollute Little Steven's comment section with this Stuff. I beg of you and this is your final warning before I send Travis Bickle and Max Cady to come after you and.......
very inappropriate!!!! take this somewhere else!!! like twitter!!!
I quite agree. Surely the Garage is simply about the love of rock and roll music without tying it to all of this nonsense?
Thank you, Michael, well said. Little Steven, well played.
Bruce & the band blew the doors off the Grammys. Cool to see Bruce up with a rockin Beatle. Ringo's got a cool song with Slow Down.
Thanks Stevie
Rock and Roll is here to stay rock and roll music man, so get used to it
another classic! the beatles forever changed my life!! in a good way!!!!
This is to 19.02. show:
It seems Ringo had spent much more quality times in the studio recording his new album than Bruce. His new one sounded 2 times better than Springsteen's even on the airwaves!
This time Conan beat up Steven by inviting Ringo to perform a song from the new one on his show earlier this month!
BTW-you are WRONG concerning the number of bands covered by the beatles and the stones. ther are , in fact, SIX!!!! chuck berry, buddy holly, arthur alexander, barrett strong AND SMOKEY ROBINSON!!!! please make note of this LS!!!! love ya!!!!! :)
sorry, the sixth one is LARRY WILLIAMS!!! that is SIX NOT FIVE!!!!!!! :O
Did the Stones cover Smokey on a studio record? I only know of the live version. I think that Steven only means the studio recordings.
some folks have got to get a life.love the fabs and love this show.peace.
T.
the fab 4 are the greatist!!!!!!!!!!!!!life without them would not be the same!!!!!sir paul and that jam was great..peace and love!!!!!!!!!!!!!
