Hey baby Little Steven here.
With all this politics going on, and Republican debates, and the economy crashing I have an important question for you.
Do you know how to do the Zonk?
That is one of the many really important subjects we will be covering this week in the Underground Garage as we celebrate girl groups.
Joining us will be the Chiffons, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, the Ramones, and Jackie DeShannon.
Brand new music from Robbie Robertson, J.P. Soars, and Chuck Prophet.
Come find out what Donna Loren, David Johansen, and Goldie Zelkowitz have in common.
It’s our celebration of girl groups and the men that love them this weekend in the world’s only Rock n’ Roll dance party on the radio.
I’ll see you in the Underground Garage.

Thank U, Little Steven, for another 5 star Zonk show!! Very aware that you played some of the lesser known but still great tunes by the Girls. Love that Lesley Gore, Goldie, Jackie de Shannon, and Rev-lons, who I agree should have been much more famous. I missed my own Holy Trinity of Girl Group tunes, which are Be My Baby by Ronettes, He's A Rebel by The Crystals, and He's So Fine by The Chiffons. Doo Lang Doo Lang Doo Lang!! But I here those 3 favs quite often on your excellent programs, especially on other Zonks!! Peace and Love those Cool Chicks!!! EEYAHHH!!! SMRZ!!!
Nice girl sets, Sorrow is cool. He Don’t Live Here No More (Robbie Robertson) solid song here. First time I have heard
Rolling Stones do - Da Doo Ron Ron
Thanks, Stevie
You probably know this already, but the new Flash player doesn't work at all - crashes every time I try to listen to a show.
Steve Jobs was right.
Any fix on the horizon?
Roger
The Girlfriends, My One And Only, Jimmy Boy. What a great tune!
LITTLE STEVEN thank you so much for playing all this rock shows for free on the internet.I have been telling my friends about your show. Can you imagine having your show on TV, and playing all this music while having a conversation with current rock musicians about it.Most of Tv shows play videos, but i feel that is not necessary because you can play songs instead. The way IMUS does his radio show on fox TV.
Great show and educating as always... we expect nothing less from Little Steven. But no mention of "girl groups" is complete without acknowledging the underrated, unrecognized Holly Beth Vincent ("Right to Be Italian", "Demos Federico", "America" etc) whose latest ferocious garage rocking is represented on her "Minnesota California". Someday maybe Little Steven will do something on her (or at least play her "Punk Xmas" on his Holiday show).
GREAT SHOW! But next time you should also spotlight obscure all-female BANDS....as some woman back then actually did play instruments.
Amazing show. Please produce an all female garage compilation album!
