Show 508 - Christmas A Go-Go 2011

Air Date:

Sunday, 25 December 2011

Hey baby, Little Steven here.

It’s our favorite time of year in the Underground Garage. It’s time for our annual Christmas A Go-Go show, featuring the Ramones, the Beatles, the Electric Prunes, Darlene Love, the Ronettes, and what would Christmas be without Jan & Dean.

Tune in to find out what Joe Pesci, Soupy Sales, Tiny Tim, and Rufus Thomas have in common, and yes we are keeping tabs on Ed ‘Kookie’ Brynes too.

This weekend it’s the wildest Christmas party in town, baby.

I’ll see you in the Underground Garage.

Another 5 star Christmas A Go-Go, Little Stevie!! Love Santa Claus by the great Sonics, Jingle Bells by the Electric Prunes, Ronettes doing I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, Tiny Tim's intro before the great Beatles fan club Christmas recordings. Soupy Sales says Santa Claus Is Surfin' To Town while the incredible Rufus Thomas with I'll Be Your Santa Claus while Joan Jett plays The Little Drummer and Joe Pesci is worried that If It doesn't Snow For Christmas, Bob Dylan playing Santa on Must Be Santa while The Beatles sing Christmas Time Is Here Again. From the very cool Yulesville LP by Ed "Kookie" Byrnes you get 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. Ringo with the Incredible Peace Be With You with George helping out. All this while The Beatles were now smoking the mistletoe. The Beatles fan club Christmas recordings were mixed in to provide a truly Psychedelic Christmas A Go-Go experience. Thank You so much, Little Stevie, for such a great show and another great year. Peace Be with You and Best wishes for a very Happy New Year 2012! Sincerely, SMRZ!!!
