Set3 rocks and its tight, real good after a blast down the highway on the bike. Don't do it by the Band cool stuff.

Always one of the *great* shows, especially for the spotlight shone on the troubled genius of Joe Meek, who I'd never even heard of before the original incarnation of this installment. I was a little disappointed that you didn't include "Staircase Stomp" by The Deadbeat Poets this time --- yeah, it's no longer "new", but is one of the best "modern" records ever played in The Underground Garage (that organ solo --- WOW!),and a shining example of lyrical efficiency, covering JM's life pretty well in under four minutes. Want to hear it back in the JM set next year, and every year! Other high-points: The evolution of the "meltdown" guitar-tone, and The Byrds' "Wasn't Born to Follow" in the "Easy Rider" set --- gotta love "Motorcycle Irene", too!

Another five star show, to be sure, Little Steve!! I especially loved Set 2 with Joe Meek. Wow! Telstar! Flushing the toilet and playing it backwards? True Genuis!! Also loved The Freakbeat set. I've heard of Heinz but not of the others like Blue Rondo and the Buzz. great Stuff!! Also enjoyed the segment on Harry Dean Stanton. A very underrated actor for sure. Love that Repo Code from Repo Man. One of my fav 80's flicks!! EEEYAHHH!!!
Great Joe Meek segment, I knew Joe Meek very well, and managed a group that recorded with him in 1966, what memories of a great man.
