Show 406 - 1958 2010

Air Date:

Tuesday, 12 January 2010

Hey baby, Little Steven here.

Are you sick of hearing about the health care thing?

Well come to us for the only real mental care. It’s in the Underground Garage, and the price is right.

This year we are talking about 1958.

What happened in that magical mystery year?

You don’t know do you?

Why did Jeff Beck join the Yardbirds, and why are the Ramones cooler than the band you were in in high school?

Joining us for the answers to these questions and more will be the Blues Magoos, the Dave Clark 5, the New York Dolls, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Ronettes, and the coolest new music from all over the world, including the Raveonettes, the Verbs, the Doughboys, I Was A King, Lcoksley, Ronnie Spector has a new one, and the Len Price 3.

It’s the only Rock n’ Roll dance party on this or any other planet.

I’ll see you this weekend in the Underground Garage.

The Intro song is stated as the Easybeats' "Good Times" but it's the Jeff Beck Group's "All SHook Up" that is played...

In set one, it is Little Richard's "Long Tall Sally" that is played instead of Chuck Berry's "Bye Bye Johnny"...

In set 4, Joan Jett's "Turn It Around" is played but is not on the playlist...

Finally, the Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated" is played on the show... Though I don't think it's been played after that...

I just noticed something: The Len Price 3's "Pictures" has been the Coolest Song in the World for both shows 386 and 406... Is it an error ?
